Access 2010 |
Introduction to Access 2010(Faculty/Staff) - Setup a new database using Design and Datasheet views. Add and delete data fields, enter, edit and replace records, saving a printing a database, data types, sorting records, formatting field properties, creating a primary key, input masks, validation, simple query structure. |

Access 2010 Queries and Reports (Faculty/Staff) - Use design view to create queries. Build queries using criteria including text, number, and data field types, wildcards and fields from multiple tables. Save and name a query. Create a report from a saved query. |

Introduction to Acrobat (Faculty/Staff) - Use Adobe Acrobat to create and convert documents to PDF, a format that can be read by anyone having the free downloadable Acrobat Reader on their machine. Emphasis is on size, setting types, bookmarks, links and security. |

Classroom Technology: Hands-On Workshop (Faculty Only) - The classroom technology workshop will train faculty on the proper use of the different technologies found in our classrooms. The session will largely be hands-on in nature and participants will be encouraged to try out the equipment themselves. Methods for effectively incorporating these technologies into your teaching will be discussed. |

Personal Response Systems (PRS) |
Engage Your Students with PRS (Faculty Only) In this hands-on session, faculty will be introduced to the Personal Response Systems used on campus. These systems allow faculty to poll their class and receive real-time responses. This class will cover the PRS software, hardware (IR and RF), and tips for effectively incorporating this technology into your courses. |

Introduction to Word 2010 (Faculty/Staff) The newest version of Word has a new graphical interface. Menus and toolbars have been replaced by the ribbon and tabs. This session, for Mac and PC users, will provide a tour of the new features as well as directions to your “old” favorite commands.
